Happy Earthday Everyone.

Come into the library today to learn about ways to live green including recycling at our school and easy ways to save electricity at home. We also have a lot of fun books and movies on display. Come an look through them and learn something about saving our planet. Remember we have books to fit everyone's needs in the school and community.

Favorite Book Survey

Students, Parents, and Community Members! We need your help! We are doing a survey to find out what your favorite book is. Come into the library an let us know what you love to read! Let us know if we have it on the shelf or if we need to get it for you. If we do is it available when you want to read it? Also come and check out our new display "Teachers love to Read..." You can check out what teachers favorite books are and even check them out. Remember all this is happening @your library!

New Book Release

Stephanie Meyer is releasing a new book this summer and with all of the circulation that the Twilight series gets at our school we thought we would spread the word. The book is called: The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella. The book is set for release on June 5th. We know out students won't be in school but we will be buying plenty of copies for those who want to check it out during our Summer library hours. You can find out when we are open during the Summer on our website under Hours.

Our Library Blog

We are so happy that you have come to check out our library blog. River City High school library has a lot to offer the students, parents, and members of the community. We wanted to start this blog to comment on the fun and exciting things that are going on here in our library. For example in the month of April we have several events including "The Great Poetry Read" April 28th where we will be hosting a poetry read here in our library and a Poetry writing contest. The winners will have their poetry published in the paper and receive a gift card to the local bookstore. We hope that you will keep checking in with us here at the River City School Library.
